§ 1.8.0. ENGINEERING REQUIREMENTS

1)
All plans, contract documents, and specifications which are required as a condition of building permit application shall be prepared in accordance with the Texas Engineering Practices Act.
2)
All plans and specifications submitted shall be sealed by a professional engineer if the work performed occurs in any building or portion thereof in excess of 5000 square feet.
3)
This rule does not apply to single family dwellings or other buildings exempted pursuant to state law. If the building is not a single family residence, but is the subject of an exemption claim, the designer shall specify the criteria under which the exemption is claimed.
