§ 5.6.6.2. Commercial Plumbing Inspector
A commercial plumbing inspector must:
A)
be an employee of the City of Austin;
B)
maintain a current plumbing inspector license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners;
C)
maintain a current certification as a plumbing inspector under the certification program established by ICC or IAPMO; and
D)
have at least five years of experience as a state licensed master or journeyman plumber.
E)
A person hired by the City as a commercial plumbing inspector must become certified through the certification program established by ICC or IAPMO not later than one year after the date of employment and must become certified in the International Energy Conservation Code not later than two years after the date of employment.
