§ 13-2-279. DRIVER'S DUTIES AND CONDUCT.

  • (A)

    A driver shall comply with this chapter, rules established under this chapter, orders issued under this chapter, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and rules.

    (B)

    While on duty, a driver shall act in a professional and courteous manner, and a driver may not:

    (1)

    consume an alcoholic beverage, controlled substance, or other substance that could adversely affect the driver's ability to drive a motor vehicle, and may not drive a vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, controlled substance, or other substance that could adversely affect the driver's ability to drive a motor vehicle; or

    (2)

    sell or otherwise provide an alcoholic beverage or a controlled substance to a passenger in a ground transportation service vehicle.
