Article 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS. |
§ 14-2-1. APPROVAL PROCEDURE.
(A)
The council may by ordinance establish a public market on part of a street, sidewalk, or alley if the council finds that the market does not:
(1)
interfere with public use of a street or sidewalk; or
(2)
create a dangerous condition on the street or sidewalk.
(B)
The council shall hold a public hearing before adopting an ordinance establishing a public market.
(C)
An ordinance adopted under this chapter may provide for the installation and maintenance of a facility necessary for the operation of the market.
