§ 14-8-41. OFFENSE AND PENALTY.

  • (A)

    A person commits an offense if the person violates:

    (1)

    any provisions of this chapter;

    (2)

    the terms of a closure permit; or

    (3)

    the terms of a block party permit.

    (B)

    A person commits an offense if the person closes a public right-of-way or residential street without a permit required by this chapter.

    (C)

    A person who violates a provision of this chapter commits a separate offense for each day or part of a day during which the violation is committed or continued.

    (D)

    An offense under this chapter is a Class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500. A culpable mental state is not required for the commission of an offense under this chapter, and need not be proved.
