§ 15-4-61. APPOINTMENT AND AVAILABILITY OF HEARINGS EXAMINER.

  • The mayor or city manager may appoint six people to be examiners in public utility hearings. After appointment and confirmation, each person shall be available, if requested by the mayor or city manager, to conduct a hearing for a specified public utility. A person appointed as a hearings examiner by the mayor or city manager is hired on a consultant basis under a contract for professional services.
