§ 2-5-13. READING OF ORDINANCES.

  • (A)

    Except as provided in Subsection (B), the council shall read each ordinance on three separate days.

    (B)

    The council may pass an ordinance on more than one reading during a single council meeting by an affirmative vote of seven or more councilmembers. Unless the vote on an ordinance is specifically limited to first or second reading, or a combination of both, the affirmative vote of seven or more councilmembers is approval on all three readings.
