§ 3-2-52. NOTICE AND SALE OF IMPOUNDED LIVESTOCK.

  • (A)

    The city manager shall post notice of sale of livestock impounded under this article not later than the third day after an animal has been impounded, in the following locations:

    (1)

    the county courthouse in the county where the animal was seized;

    (2)

    city hall; and

    (3)

    a third public location.

    (B)

    Notice under this section must include:

    (1)

    a full description of the impounded livestock; and

    (2)

    the date, time, and place of the sale, not less than five days from the date the notice was posted.

    (C)

    The city manager shall sell livestock impounded under this section at public auction to the highest bidder for cash.
