§ 3-3-5. OWNER'S DUTY TO TREAT BITE BY RABID ANIMAL.

  • A person owning or handling an animal bitten by a potentially rabid animal shall, not later than the seventh day after discovery of the injury:

    (A)

    give the bitten animal anti-rabies treatment;

    (B)

    impound the bitten animal for six months in a location approved by the animal control supervisor; or

    (C)

    destroy the bitten animal.
