§ 6-1-14. REFRIGERATION CHILLERS.

Latest version.

A person who owns or operates a centrifugal chiller that uses a refrigerant shall:
(1)

install leak monitoring equipment in the mechanical equipment room;

(2)

check the leak monitoring equipment at least once each month;

(3)

if the leak monitoring equipment registers a leak of 10.0 parts per million or more, repair the chiller within 30 days; and

(4)

if the chiller uses refrigerant R-11 and is not operated continuously, install and maintain a positive pressure device or a high efficiency purge device.
