§ 6-1-21. REFRIGERANT RECOVERY SERVICE.

(A)

The city manager shall provide ozone-depleting compound refrigerant recovery service at a City landfill at the rate established by separate ordinance.

(B)

A person may not dispose of an air conditioner or a cooling or refrigeration system at a City landfill unless:

(1)

the refrigerant is first recovered at the landfill; or

(2)

the system is labeled as free of ozone-depleting compounds in accordance with federal law.
