§ 6-1-31. ASBESTOS SURVEY.

(A)

In this section, "asbestos survey" means an inspection of a facility by an individual licensed by the state to perform the inspection to determine the location, quantity, and condition of asbestos or material containing asbestos in the facility by sampling for analysis and visual inspection.

(B)

Before a building is bought, sold, or leased to or from the City, the city manager shall ensure that an asbestos survey of the building has been conducted.

(C)

This section expresses a voluntary commitment by the City to asbestos management and does not create an offense subject to criminal enforcement.
