§ 11.3.2. Use of Standard/Non-Standard Walls

Standard retaining walls will routinely be permitted in the street right of way or easement provided the requirements in this section have been satisfied. Non-standard walls will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be permitted by the Director, depending on wall type, wall height and layout, proximity to buried utilities, industry acceptance, availability of test data covering characteristics and performance of the proposed materials and documented long-term performance of similar walls in similar applications.
