The Vision of the TCM is to provide design criteria for roadways that help the City of Austin:
• Grow as a compact, connected city,

• Use green infrastructure to protect environmentally sensitive areas and integrate nature into the city,

• Provide paths to prosperity for all,

• Develop as an affordable and healthy community,

• Sustainably manage water resources, and other environmental resources,

• Think creatively and work together.
