§ 15-4-68. USE OF NOTARY PUBLIC OR COURT REPORTER.

  • (A)

    A notary public shall attend a hearing under this division unless a party at interest hires a court reporter, at the party's expense, to replace the notary public.

    (B)

    The notary public or court reporter shall administer oaths and receive and record all statements, arguments, testimony, and exhibits. A notary public shall make a record of a hearing by tape recording and a court reporter shall make a record of a hearing in method approved for use by a court reporter.
