Chapter 6-2. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. |
Article 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS. |
§ 6-2-1. DEFINITIONS.
In this chapter:
(1)
DIRECTOR means the director of the Watershed Protection and Development Review Department.
(2)
HAZARDOUS MATERIAL means a material that is subject to regulation under Section 6-2-3 ( Regulated Materials ).
(3)
NONPORTABLE CONTAINER means a container with a storage capacity of 55 gallons or more.
(4)
PRECISION TEST means a test to prove the integrity of a storage tank system prescribed by the National Fire Protection Association.
(5)
PRIMARY CONTAINMENT means the first level of containment and includes the portion of a container that comes in contact with the hazardous material being contained.
(6)
SECONDARY CONTAINMENT means a level of containment external to and separate from primary containment and may include a building.
(7)
STANDARD TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE, when used to refer to the measurement of a quantity of matter, means the quantity is measured at a temperature of zero degree Centigrade and a pressure of one atmosphere.
(8)
STORAGE FACILITY means a site with one or more structures used or designed to be used for the storage of a hazardous material, including:
(a)
a tank;
(b)
a sump;
(c)
a floor that is used routinely to collect, contain, or maintain standing liquids or to transmit standing liquids;
(d)
a pipe;
(e)
a vault; and
(f)
a portable or fixed container.
